I spoke about this in my very first posting and it continues to amaze me. When we made the entry into the country, we were told that our Permanent Residence (PR) cards would arrive within four weeks and the cards would be mailed to the address that we gave at immigration.
The PR cards arrived today and we were thrilled to receive them. Wow! Never have I received stuff from a government office before time, except for when I owed them money :-) The PR card is an important piece of identification and stores a lot of information. Every PR has to carry the card when travelling across the Canadian border to renter the country. The information stored on the card also helps in tracking the number of days spent in Canada and further aids during Citizenship qualification.
